The luxury concept SUV is every bit the comic book fantasy; in fact we would love to see it in a new Spiderman movie. Intimidatingly beautiful but stocky, cool, unscroupulously pricey and as sure it owns the road as its supercar cousins, the Urus is sure to capture many a Chinese heart. We see Lamborghini still have no regard for the view from the rear window but we expect parking sensors will sort that. Besides, why let practicality get in the way of a flowing roofline? Artistic genius!

Scottish firm, Castle Precision Engineering Ltd have announced that they will both engineer and manufacture the wheels for the new world Land Speed Record car in partnership with Holyrood and BLOODHOUND SSC�s driver Andy Green. Innoval Technology Ltd and aerospace company Lockheed Martin UK will also be involved in this three year design study. The rocket and jet-powered car weighs 7.5 tonnes, it has 900mm solid alloys spinning up to 177 times per second at top speed and withstanding 50,000 G.

This tuned BMW 3-Series coupe or B3 GT3 as Alpina like to call it is one of only 99 models and is priced at �74,000 a piece. It uses the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six from Alpina`s B3 S Bi-Turbo sedan, coupe and touring models but slightly increases the horses to 408hp at 6,000rpm while its torque is 398 lb-ft at 4500rpm. It does this by upgrading the exhaust system which also has an Akrapovic titanium rear silencer. Its top speed is 187mph and it sprints to 62mph in 4.6 seconds.
